SUP3_edited.jpg

SUP at Hotel Skovly

If you bring your own paddleboard - we can almost guarantee that you will have a wonderful experience.....!

Just 125 meters from the hotel - a short walk through the forest - you will find the outlet of our stream - where you paddle quietly into the Baltic Sea...!

An absolutely wonderful and beautiful experience!

Skovly Lake

Skovlysøen

If you are a beginner - or just want to test what you have brought - then take a little paddle trip on our own lake, a cozy old coal lake, which is located on our hotel grounds.

You are guaranteed to get curious looks from the ducks and maybe from one of our fishing herons...!

The lake is not big - but nice!

Sapphire Lake

250 meters from the hotel - a short walk through the forest - you will find the very beautiful Saphirsø.

Safirsøen is an old clay pit which supplied clay to Hasle Klinkeværk. Now it is a swimming lake, a fishing lake and a lake which, among other things, used by our many after-school students from Bornholms Efterskole when they have to learn how to handle a sea kayak or a paddleboard.

Pyritsøen.jpg

Pyrite Lake

Pyritsøen - also a clay pit, is only 800 meters from the hotel - and only 75 meters from the Baltic Sea. It is the largest lake, and can be alive when the wind comes from the Baltic Sea.

Many SUPers have told us that they felt they were sailing in Småland, because the area is very similar to Sweden.

You can both drive and walk to Pyritsøen. The reception has map material for you.

The sandy beach

125 meters from the hotel - a short walk through the forest - you will find the very beautiful and wonderful sandy beach, Skovlystranden.

Our stream, which encircles the hotel, flows into the Baltic Sea there. Throw the board in the river and row quietly into the Baltic Sea. To the left you go towards Rønne and to the right towards Hasle.

Enjoy the sunset in the company of a cool bottle of white wine.
